Boombox is the psychedelic brainchild of producers / songwriters / multi instrumentalists, Russ Randolph and Zion Rock Godchaux. An eclectic blend of house electronica and fuzzed out vintage rock and roll, Boombox have a crushing sound drenched in reverb and heavy on the backbeat. They’re an update of the 90’s Acid Haus vibe with the breadth of modern jamtronica acts like Bisco and Particle. Boombox are a duo, but they push it past the typical dj duo paradigm and into a unique realm, with a blend of live sampling and hands on instrumentation by both members.Theit partnership has allowed for tight chemistry and improvisation. Says randolph, “We just want to go out with no game plan. That way it’s fresh for us, and we can follow the energy of the crowd. We’re down to get down, and we hope that people are down with us.” “It’s all natural, it’s all in real time, and that’s why it’s Rock ‘n’ Roll”, adds Godchaux. Traditional set lists are never created prior to shows, instead, BoomBox choose the music based on the atmosphere, to create a one-of-a-kind experience. Concert Tickets $20, $23 day of
