Lyrically, musically, and politically, Declan O’Rourke is powerful in all forms. He’s an Irish singer-songwriter who is at the top of his game, making his fifth StageOne appearance this fall. He creates remarkably beautiful music while tackling big issues. While he is a product of the folk-rock busking tradition which produced Damien Dempsey, Mundy, and Paddy Casey, Declan draws on the Neil Young songwriting tradition. 

He has the ability to get the crowd up and dancing all the while interspersing his music with great storytelling and has no shortage of humor.
