Creek was the first jamband before the term even existed. They’ve built an ever-expanding multi-generational fanbase concentrated in New England with admirers including Bill Kreutzmann of the Grateful Dead and Mike Gordon of Phish. Throughout their 40 year career of touring and annual festivals such as Camp Creek and StrangeCreek, Max Creek has grown tremendously to become contemporary legends and innovators of the improve scene.

Their specialty lies in long, probing jam segments and generous psychedelic rock tangents. With plenty of blues, country, folk, and funk added to the mix, Max Creek is a legion of jamband architects. They are originators of the genre and it is a privilege to have them return to StageOne.
