Brooklyn party starters, Rubblebucket, are an art pop sensation. Sometimes low-down funky, other times brightly experimental, always bursting at the seams with energy; they're an eclectic, kinetic, party. With tinges of Afrobeat, New Wave, rave culture, Rubblebucket the summation of year of musical experimentation. The brainchild of Alex Toth and Kalmia Traver, Rubblebucket began to germinate while the pair attended music school at University of Vermont. After grauation, they began touring as members of the reggae group John Browns Body. Rubblebucket released their first album, Rose's Dream in 2008, and have kept a phenomenal pace ever since. With six records released in the last six years, and a dense touring schedule, Rubblebucket are both unique and prolific. As their popularity has grown they've performed on such stages as Jimmy Kimmel Live, festivals like High Sierra, and All Good, and shown audiences far and wide the kind of good time that really needs to be experienced first hand.
