Loudon Wainwright III is an American treasure whose body of work is a genre unto itself. He has been nominated for three Grammy Awards (winning 2010 Best Traditional Folk Album) and singer-songwriting-jibing-laughing-commenting and making us think since the 1960’s. Besides his music career, Wainwright is possibly most well-known for his role as the singing surgeon on the television show M*A*S*H, as well as roles in films such as “Big Fish” and “Knocked Up,” which he wrote the soundtrack to.
"Mr. Wainwright wrings more human truth out of his contradiction than any other songwriter of his generation." - New York Times
