Stop Light Observations has a distinct sound, a sort of hybrid among southern and psychedelic rock with hints of revival, indie and folk. These guys can go from the riffy and intricate blues-rock of the Allman Brothers and sweeping arrangements of Pink Floyd to more contemporary alt-rock and pop experimentation by the likes of R.E.M., My Morning Jacket and Kings of Leon.
While their sound is difficult to immediately classify, their dynamics take you on a wonderful ride. Its a late 60s and early 70s rock vibe with a modern indie rock sound, which gives SLO one of the most unique sounds we've have ever had the pleasure of hearing.
