You don’t stay in the business for almost twenty years by mistake — just ask the Motet.

Colorado’s beloved funksters wrapped up a thunderous Friday night at Red Rocks last week with support from Vulfpeck and Medeski, Martin, & Wood. It was The Motet’s very first time headlining Red Rocks, a slot that they’ve certainly worked hard for and truly earned over the last decade.

The Motet eagerly took their fans on a whirlwind of a funkfest, featuring lots of new music off of their recently debuted album Totem (produced by Eric Krasno of Lettuce/Soulive). WHY WE'RE EXCITED

The Motet is more than just a funk band. They're soulful, catchy, and irresistibly danceable. They exude an energy that electrifies and will no doubt turn Fairfield into a funk'd up dance party. This is one of those bands that you don't need to know their music going into it. They take you away with every song played. The horns raise the roof right off the ceiling and backup singers bring you right into a 70s disco.

If you've come to The Warehouse to see The New Mastersounds, Kung Fu, Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds, Galactic, or The Soul Rebels, you'll be disappointed if you miss this show.
