Join Bill Berloni, the renowned animal director and trainer behind Broadway’s most famous four-legged performers. In this masterclass, through live demonstration with a furry friend and conversation, he’ll share his humane approach to training rescue animals for the stage, his process for building trust with performers, and the unique challenges of working with animals in live theater and film.
William Berloni is an animal director and trainer, and a 2011 Tony Honoree for Excellence in Theatre. His groundbreaking work has been featured in 33 Broadway productions, including Gypsy, Annie (original and all revivals), A Christmas Story: The Musical, Legally Blonde, The Wiz, and The Wizard of Oz. Berloni is the subject of the Discovery docuseries Wags to Riches with Bill Berloni and the author of Broadway Tails. He currently serves as the Director of Animal Behavior at the Humane Society of New York. His career began when he found and adopted the original Sandy for the first production of Annie.
