Join Rick Sordelet, one of Broadway’s top fight directors, as he pulls back the curtain on stage combat. In this Masterclass, through live demonstration and conversation, he’ll showcase the techniques behind safe, realistic fight choreography and share stories from his work on stage and screen.

Study Up

Rick Sordelet is one of the top fight directors in the country, with over 72 Broadway productions to his name, including Disney’s Broadway hits The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, Aida, The Little Mermaid, and Tina. His expertise extends beyond Broadway, with over 60 first-class productions on five continents, including Ben Hur Live. In addition to his stage work, Sordelet is a stunt coordinator for television and film, with more than 1,000 episodes of daytime television and numerous feature films to his credit, including RESPECT: The Aretha Franklin Story. He was also responsible for the stunt coordination of the 1995 Super Bowl halftime show.

FTC’s An Evening With masterclasses, moderated by FTC's Artistic Director Maureen Hamill, bring industry leaders to the stage for an engaging, behind-the-scenes look at their craft. Each session combines live demonstration, discussion, and audience Q&A, offering an intimate experience with top professionals in Broadway, film, and television.
