Description
Study Up

Cheese Fries & Chili Dips is a wildly funny, unexpectedly moving new two-person show about chasing your dreams—even when your own mind won’t always cooperate. Chris is trying to build a life, a career, and a sense of stability while navigating bipolar disorder—all while chasing the long-shot dream of making the PGA Tour… and he’s not doing it alone. Enter his inner voice—played by veteran actor and beloved former Weston High School drama teacher Gary Betsworth—a mischievous, scooter-riding guide who dishes out advice somewhere between Larry David and Jiminy Cricket… and lands it right about 60% of the time. What unfolds is a fast-paced, heartfelt romp that’s as laugh-out-loud funny as it is deeply human—a story about resilience, self-acceptance, and the messy, universal pursuit of making your dream come true. Masterfully directed by Mark S. Graham, the production balances razor-sharp comedy with genuine emotional depth. Produced by Robert R. Blume—Producer of the Annual Drama Desk Awards (1999–2018)—and Pat Labez, the show brings together a team with a deep passion for storytelling that resonates. You don’t have to love golf (or even understand it) to see yourself in this story—you just have to be human. Now under option for a feature film, Cheese Fries & Chili Dips will leave you laughing, recognizing yourself, and maybe even cheering a little louder for your own inner voice.

Proudly sponsored by Golf Performance Center and Roger Knick.
