Storytelling & Theatre Scenes & Monologues
In this engaging workshop, students will bring characters to life through theatre scenes and monologues. The course follows the tradition of a classic acting studio, where performers learn to identify intentions, make character-driven choices, and deliver authentic performances while focusing on storytelling.

Actor Plus
This class empowers actors to create original stories they can star in, whether on stage or on camera. Using improvisation and collaborative input, students develop characters, scenes, and situations that build into scripts they could produce themselves.

Ages: Middle School to Adult
Registration: $350/$325 Member
Acting On-Camera
This course helps actors build confidence and spontaneity in front of the camera. Students will work with monologues, scenes, and cold reads to enhance their ability to make specific choices, reduce tension, and bring their unique selves to on-camera work. Each participant will have the opportunity to perform weekly and learn from their peers.

Song Performance
Focusing on the connection between acting and singing, this class helps performers bring authenticity and spontaneity to their musical performances. By exploring different interpretations of songs, students will build confidence, trust their voices, and develop the freedom to take risks, ensuring each performance is unique.

Jason has over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry as a writer, producer, creative consultant, and teaching artist. His independent production company, Monday Morning Productions, has produced new works featuring award-winning performers. He created Cady Did for Tony Award winner Cady Huffman, which received 12 Indie Series Award nominations and won five, including Best Comedy Series.

Nili Bassman is an accomplished Broadway and TV/Film actress and educator with a deep understanding of the industry. With Broadway credits including Chicago and Curtains, and appearances on multiple television episodics, she brings professional experience and a passion for the craft to FTC Arts Education, where she teaches song performance and on-camera acting. Nili helps students connect to material, increase confidence, and gain the freedom to make each performance spontaneous and unique.
