Director Brendan Toller will be our special guest and will answer your questions following the screening! Danny Says is a documentary on the life and times of Danny Fields. Since 1966, Danny Fields has played a pivotal role in music and culture of the late 20th century: working for The Doors, Lou Reed, Nico, Judy Collins and managing groundbreaking artists like the Stooges, the MC5 and the Ramones. "For roughly two decades, Mr. Fields found himself at the center of a revolution. He broke into the industry working for Elektra Records, first doing publicity for the Doors, then signing both Iggy Pop’s band the Stooges and the MC5 (on the same day), which would ultimately lead to his managing the Ramones. You could make a convincing case that without Danny Fields, punk rock wouldn’t have happened." — NEW YORK TIMES   "That'd be Danny Fields, the magazine editor who'd go on to be Factory cohort of Andy Warhol's, a publicist for the Doors, help get the Stooges signed to a major label, and manage the Ramones. It's a lot of ground to cover, rock & roll history-wise; thankfully, documentarian Brendan Toller has designed what sounds like a nice Fields 101 primer on the man who almost undoubtedly helped shape the sound of whatever music you are listening to right now." — ROLLING STONE | 15 Must-See Movies at SXSW Film Festival 2015     "Brendan Toller’s documentary lets historied music-biz gadfly Danny Fields spin anecdotes from his no-doubt vast repertoire, creating indelible snapshots of Jim Morrison, Iggy Pop, the Velvet Underground, the Ramones and many more in their prime." — VARIETY | The 13 Breakout Movies at the SXSW Film Festival Concert Tickets $10 Advance GA/ $12 Day Of GA
