What is the Fairfield Theatre Company?

The Fairfield Theatre Company, a not-for-profit organization of arts professionals and community leaders dedicated to a simple premise - that the broadest spectrum of live entertainment and cultural exchange is essential to the vitality of our society. We believe that our quality of life depends on opportunities to get out, and come together in public places to enjoy art, music, drama, dance, all manner of creative and intellectual discourse, and to participate in these activities to the fullest.

HOW CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS FOR STAGEONE OR THE WAREHOUSE? WHAT’S THE NUMBER TO CALL THE BOX OFFICE AND WHERE IS THE BOX OFFICE LOCATED?

There are several ways to purchase tickets: 1) Through our website, www.fairfieldtheatre.org 2) By calling the box office at 203-259-1036 from 11-5pm, seven days a week. 3) Visiting us at our box office on 70 Sanford St in Fairfield from 11-5pm, seven days a week. On performance dates, the box office hours are extended for will call pick up and ticket purchases.

DO I HAVE TO SET UP AN ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE TICKETS?

Yes, when you purchase tickets we ask for your personal information such as name, address, e-mail and phone number, in order for us to mail your tickets or contact you in case a performance is canceled or rescheduled.

WHAT ARE SERVICE CHARGES? IS THERE A WAY TO WAIVE THE FEES?

The systems needed in order for you to be able to purchase a ticket from the comfort of your home are costly for us to establish and maintain. “Convenience” means exactly that. We save you the time, trouble, and expense of having to get in your car and come to us to purchase your tickets in advance. These charges are used towards website upkeep, merchant services, telephone usage, and to have people in the box office. Service charges are waived if tickets are purchased at the FTC box office.

CAN I BUY TICKETS FOR THE WAREHOUSE OR STAGEONE THROUGH TICKETMASTER, LIVE NATION OR ANY OTHER TICKET HUB?

No, Fairfield Theatre Company's box office and website are the sole provider of tickets for our venues.

CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS OFF OF STUBHUB?

FTC is not affiliated with any third party ticket sites. We are not responsible for any tickets purchased through any site other than our own.

HOW DO I KNOW THAT MY ORDER WAS PROCESSED?

After you finish your order you will receive an order confirmation e-mail (don't forget to check your spam/junk folder). If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail contact the box office at 203-259-1036 from 11-5 PM seven days a week.

I REQUESTED TO HAVE MY TICKETS MAILED TO ME BUT I DIDN'T RECEIVE THEM, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

WHAT IS WILL CALL? WHAT DO I NEED TO PICK UP MY TICKETS THAT ARE BEING HELD AT WILL CALL? WHEN CAN I PICK THEM UP?

Will call is a method to pick up tickets. At StageOne & The Warehouse, will call is at the respective box office entrances. The purchaser will need to present their photo ID at the box office window. If someone else will be picking up the tickets, you will need to contact the box office at least 3 hours before the performance in order for them to be able to pick the tickets up – that person will also need to present their photo ID. Doors open at 7 PM for most performances, so you can either wait until then to pick up your tickets, or come to our box office located at 70 Sanford St, Fairfield, CT between 11pm and 5 pm every day to pick your tickets up.

ARE TICKETS REFUNDABLE? WHAT IF A SHOW IS RESCHEDULED OR CANCELED?

There are no refunds or exchanges. The ONLY exception is if a performance is canceled. We offer a full refund or credit to an upcoming performance. If a show is rescheduled you have 2 options: 1. If you cannot attend we will offer a full refund or a credit towards an upcoming show. 2. Your original ticket(s) will be honored for the rescheduled date.

CAN I BUY A TICKET THE DAY OF THE SHOW?

Yes, if there are tickets available you can purchase them the day of the show through our box office or website. Keep in mind that some of our performances may have a door price, should you wait until you get to the door to purchase tickets.

I CALLED THE BOX OFFICE AND NO ONE PICKED UP, WHY?

Our box office hours are from 11-5pm daily. If you call before we open or after we close, there will be no one available to take your call. Please leave a message and we will get back to you the following day. Additionally, there are times when our box office staff is assisting other customers and cannot take your call. You can leave a message, try calling back or go to our website, www.fairfieldtheatre.org

WHAT IS STANDING ROOM ONLY/GENERAL ADMISSION?

All StageOne performances with reserved seating also have a standing room section. FTC does provide a limited amount of high back chairs that are located behind House Right for standing room patrons. These chairs are first come first serve. If you arrive and there are no high back chairs available you will have to stand. Most Warehouse performances with reserved seating will have a general admission section. There may be limited seating available in our mezzanine section on a first come, first serve basis. If there are no seats available then it will be standing room.

WHAT DOES DOOR PRICE MEAN?

From time to time, a performance can have a door price. The door price is the cost of a ticket at the door on the day of the performance. We start charging the door price when doors open for the performance.

DO I NEED A PHOTO ID TO ATTEND SHOWS?

If your tickets are at will-call, you will need a photo ID to pick up your tickets. Additionally, you will need a valid ID if you plan on consuming alcohol at any FTC show.

IF A SHOW IS SOLD OUT, CAN I STILL GET TICKETS?

No. If a show is sold out, there are no tickets available for purchase. Please call the box office at 203-259-1036 to be added to a wait list.

IF A SHOW IS SOLD OUT & I’M A MEMBER, CAN I GET TICKETS? DO YOU HOLD TICKETS SPECIFICALLY FOR MEMBERS?

No. Sold out means the performance is sold out, there are no tickets available for purchase. However, FTC members do have the opportunity to purchase pre-sale tickets, before the general public. For more information, visit our membership page.

THE PERFORMANCE I’M ATTENDING IS GENERAL ADMISSION, BUT MY TICKET HAS A SEAT NUMBER. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

If you purchase a ticket for a general admission show, you will notice a seat number listed on the ticket. Our tickets are automatically printed with a number. The number does not indicate a seat in the venue as the show is general admission.

WHY CAN’T I PURCHASE MORE THAN 10 TICKETS ON THE WEBSITE? ARE THERE GROUP RATES AVAILABLE?

Only 10 tickets at a time can be purchased online. You may call or stop by our box office to purchase the amount of tickets you would like. Group rates are generally available for parties of 10 or more, please call our box office at 203-259-1036 for more information.

CAN TICKETS BE SCANNED THROUGH MY CELL PHONE?

Yes. Tickets can be scanned by phone. Please make sure to have the tickets pulled up on your screen before walking up to our scanners as it saves us and you time! Also, make sure the brightness on your screen is turned up for optimal scanning capability.

WHAT IS A SHOWBUCKS CARD? HOW CAN I REDEEM MY SHOWBUCKS CARD?

A Showbucks card is a gift card that can be purchased in increments of $25. You can use your Showbucks card towards a ticket purchase. They can be purchased online, in person or over the phone. Currently, they can only be redeemed over the phone or in person.

ARE STAGEONE AND THE WAREHOUSE THE SAME VENUE?

No. While both venues share the same address and are under the same roof, The Warehouse and StageOne are two separate rooms. Both located at 70 Sanford St. in Fairfield.

DO YOU HAVE A SEATING CHART FOR THE WAREHOUSE? STAGEONE?

DO YOU HAVE HANDICAP SEATING?

We have handicap seating for both The Warehouse and StageOne. To see if handicap seating is available, contact our box office at 203-259-1036 from 11-5pm seven days a week. If the show you would like to attend is a General Admission show, please contact the box office and we will make the necessary accommodations for you.

IS THE WAREHOUSE SEATED OR STANDING ROOM? STAGEONE?

The Warehouse is a flexible seated venue. This means that we have several different seating arrangements depending on the show, performer, event, etc. For more information, click here. StageOne is a seated venue with three sections (left, right and center), with limited standing room availability. For more information and to view a seat map, click here. Some shows at StageOne are general admission with some seating available; other general admission performances have seats and are first come first serve. Any general admission show at The Warehouse will have limiting seating available on the left hand side of the stage and in the mezzanine section, on a first come, first serve basis.

WHAT IS THE SEATING CAPACITY FOR STAGEONE & THE WAREHOUSE?

StageOne seats 225 people, and The Warehouse can hold a maximum of 640 people.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is a parking lot directly outside of StageOne & The Warehouse that offers limited parking availability. In addition, there is parking in the vicinity, including on street parking and the train station lot that is free to park after 6PM. Click here to see a map.

IS THERE A TRAIN STATION CLOSE BY?

Yes! In fact, both of our venues are located directly across the street from the Fairfield Train Station (NOT Fairfield Metro), which services the MetroNorth train line out of New Haven. For Amtrak service, please transfer at Stamford or Bridgeport to the MetroNorth line.

I’M TAKING THE TRAIN IN TO SEE A PERFORMANCE. THERE ARE 2 STOPS FOR FAIRFIELD. WHICH STOP DO I GET OFF AT?

FTC is located directly across from the Fairfield train station on the MetroNorth line, NOT Fairfield Metro.

WHAT ARE THE AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR A SHOW?

All performances are all ages unless otherwise noted on our website.

WHEN DO DOORS OPEN FOR A PERFORMANCE?

Doors open at 7:00 PM for shows at The Warehouse and StageOne unless otherwise noted.

DO YOUR VENUES SERVE FOOD AND ALCOHOL?

Both StageOne and The Warehouse have two full bars, where beer, wine, and liquor can be purchased. While we have snacks available for purchase (candy bars, bags of chips, etc), no other food can be purchased inside the venue. Additionally, we cannot allow outside food or beverages to be brought into any of our venues.

DO THE VENUES ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS? DO YOU HAVE AN ATM?

Yes, both of our venues accept the following forms of payment: AMEX, Visa, MasterCard, Cash, Check (advance purchases only, not accepted day of). Please note that we do not accept Discover Card. Yes, we have an ATM in both venues.

DOES THE BAR ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS OR IS IT CASH ONLY?

Both of our venues are equipped to accept credit cards at our bars, (AMEX, Visa & MasterCard). Please note, if you have a card with the newest chip technology, you will be asked if you would like to add a tip before the card is used.

CAN I TAKE PICTURES?

Photography is at the discretion of the artists’ management. If management allows photography, no flash is allowed.

DO YOU HAVE A COAT CHECK?

For StageOne shows, we typically do not have a coat check. For shows in The Warehouse, we have seasonal coat check where patrons can check their coats for $3 each. We cannot combine multiple coats on the same hanger. Additionally, there are small lockers available in The Warehouse if you would like to check additional items (purse, hat, etc.) Coat check will be open on a seasonal basis.

ARE THERE ANY HOTELS IN THE AREA?

I LOVE FTC! CAN I VOLUNTEER?

Absolutely! If you would like to volunteer at either of our venues, download these forms (Volunteer Expectations and the Volunteer Application) and either drop them off at our box office or send completed applications to volunteer@fairfieldtheatre.org.

I’M A COLLEGE STUDENT AND AM WONDERING IF YOU HAVE AN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM?

Prospective interns must first fill out the Volunteer Application – Production form and submit it to us at volunteer@fairfieldtheatre.org. We will give you a call if and when we have any intern positions available.

SERVICE ANIMALS POLICY

Service animals are welcome at our venues. If you have a service animal and need to have them accompany you to a show, please come prepared with your pet’s proper identification & service license.

WHAT IS THE PROTOCOL FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER ON THE DAY OF A PERFORMANCE?

In inclement weather situations, we try our best to keep patrons updated on the status of that night’s performance. Please check our websitefor up to date information or give us a call at our box office. Generally, the show goes on as long as the performer(s) can get to the venue. If a performance is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, our box office team will contact you with an email and a phone call. At that time you will have the option to keep your tickets for the next performance or return them.

DO YOU HAVE A LOST AND FOUND?

If you have lost something at either of our venues during a performance, please check in with our box office the following day, as our custodial crew may have found the lost item(s). In addition, we keep a spreadsheet of all reported lost items, if we come across your missing item, we will contact you.

I WAS THROWN OUT FROM THE VENUE, WHAT GIVES?

FTC expects our patrons to respect one another, our staff and performers. If you fail to do so, it could qualify as grounds for ejection. The code of conduct is as follows: Respect: Respect the other patrons, respect the staff and venue and most of all respect the performers. Please do not cause any interference with the performance (i.e. heckling, talking loudly, throwing items, etc) Refrain from offensive language, fighting, obscene gestures, etc. You cannot occupy a seat or remain in an area that you do not have tickets for. Reasons you can get thrown out: Purchasing alcohol for someone underage, drinking underage, sneaking in drugs or alcohol, starting a fight, being bothersome to those around you and/or the performer, stage diving, damaging our property or using illicit drugs. If you follow the code of conduct, nothing will go wrong!

CAN I SMOKE IN THE VENUE?

No. Smoking/vaping of any kind is prohibited inside of our venues. We do however; have designated smoking lounges outside for both venues.

WHAT ITEMS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE THEATRE?

No weapon of any kind is permitted in our venues. Also, all explosive devices, firecrackers, laser pens, signs, banners, oversized bags, outside food & beverage (water bottles, cans, alcohol), drugs etc. are prohibited and will be confiscated.

DO YOU HAVE A NO RE-ENTRY POLICY OR CAN I WALK IN AND OUT OF THE VENUE?

FTC has a strict no re-entry policy during performances. If you need to go outside to smoke, we do have dedicated smoking sections available outside of both venues.
