Evans is an absolute legend in the jazz world and has explored a variety of musical settings that go well beyond the confines of jazz including rock, hip-hop, jam, fusion, reggae, Brazilian and slamming funk.

One of the real treats at this year's Mountain Jam — and one that many missed — was seeing the legendary saxophonist Bill Evans and his band tear it up from the very front of the stage.

The man has recorded and played with everyone. Herbie Hancock, Medeski, Martin, & Wood, Willie Nelson, Mick Jagger, Gov't Mule, Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Allman Brothers, Umphrey's McGee, and Miles Davis all love Bill Evans. We think you will too.
