Listed as one of the top 100 guitar players of the 20th century by Musician Magazine • BMI’s Country Songwriter of the Year • Nashville Songwriter's Hall of Fame Ask people what they know about “Big Al” Anderson and you’ll probably hear very different responses. Rockers will say that for 22 years he was the Tele-driving force behind New Rhythm and Blues Quartet (less formally and more popularly known as NRBQ), writing and singing their best-known songs. Fans of underground and classic rock will remember him for his 1960s cult band The Wildweeds, whose hit single “No Good To Cry” was covered by the Allman Brothers (when they were called Hourglass), and country music fans view him as Nashville royalty, cranking out an ever-growing catalog of hit songs. Anderson composed hits for headliners Tim McGraw, Vince Gill, Diamond Rio, Zac Brown, Montgomery Gentry, LeAnne Rimes and Rascal Flatts — as well as non-country artists like Sheryl Crow, the Allman Brothers, Jimmy Buffett, Harry Connick Jr. and Boz Scaggs. The dude can pen tunes, in other words. "He's an original guitar player. He plays unlike anybody I've ever heard. He plays with such a reckless abandon and sense of humor, yet he's the swingingest. But he is so much more versatile of a guitar player than people know. They hone in on NRBQ and that wacky thing, but he's a beautiful player." - Vince Gill   “most underrated guitarist/singer/songwriter” - Allmusic Concert Tickets $48
