From Oscar-winning filmmakers Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, WILD LIFE follows conservationist Kris Tompkins on an epic, decades-spanning love story as wild as the landscapes she dedicated her life to protecting. After falling in love in mid-life, Kris and the outdoorsman and entrepreneur Doug Tompkins left behind the world of the massively successful outdoor brands they'd helped pioneer -- Patagonia, The North Face, and Esprit -- and turned their attention to a visionary effort to create National Parks throughout Chile and Argentina. WILD LIFE chronicles the highs and lows of their journey to affect the largest private land donation in history. Panelist - Tim Clark, Southeastern Connecticut Project Manager with The Nature Conservancy in Connecticut. Alex Perry - Alex grew up in Southport, Connecticut where he attended Greens Farms Academy, spending his junior year of high school at School Year Abroad (SYA), Spain. He went on to attend the University of Rochester where he graduated with a B.S. in Political Science. From Rochester, NY he headed to the mountains of Colorado to ski full time. From Colorado Alex went South to work throughout Latin America guiding tours and working with local non-profit organizations. Alex is a passionate skier, surfer, sailor, fly fisherman and trail runner. Alex joined Patagonia in 2014 on the North America wholesale team, working as an Associate Rep in the Midwest and New England. In 2015, Alex moved to the International division as an International Coordinator. In 2018, Alex was named General Manager of Latin America for Patagonia. Alex is responsible for the company and brand in Latin America. This means leading Patagonia’s impact and enviro activism work in the region, being responsible for Patagonia’s 175 employees, 13 retails stores, and numerous digital websites in Latin America, and creating the company’s strategic plans and vision.
