A prime example of young meets old, progressive meets traditional, Jacob Jolliff of Yonder Mountain String Band is Berklee's first full-scholarship mandolin student and an unstoppable force of mandolin.
Stylistically similar to bluegrass masters like David Grisman and Sam Bush, Jolliff’s side project is far more traditionally bluegrass oriented than that of Yonder. The band features long-time partner-in-crime, Alex Hargreaves, considered one of best improvising violinists in the world, having won The Grand Masters Fiddle Championship and The National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest.
